ABOUT US
Calicut University Teacher Education Centre Chakkittapara , established in 2004 by University of Calicut at chakkittapara, Kozhikode,kerala. The objective of this renowned institution is to provide quality teacher education to all classes of people, to attract and encourage talented students towards teaching profession. it provide 5 optional subjects viz., Mathematics, natural science, Social Studies, English, and Commerce. In 2015 as per NCTE 2014 regulations B.Ed student strength was limited to one unit comprising of 50 students. As per Govt. order from 2016 onwards the college can induct one unit (50 students) for B.Ed Programme.
All the courses offered are recognized by National Council for teacher Education. The College has excellent infrastructure and premium faculty. The college is to make distinctive and eloquent contribution to the course of teacher education and to promote research in various branches of teacher education. The college seeks to nature the quest for excellence by assuring and providing opportunities that are equitable and accessible to students from backgrounds of any disadvantage and there by build their capacities through commitment to the profession and values of high stature.
