HISTORY
Calicut University Teacher Education Centre was established in 2002 in Malappuram. This centre is one of the off campus institutions of theUni of Calicut . The University of Calicut has designed these centres for imparting cost based education to the backward pupils in Malabar, the north part of Kerala. The institution is situated in Three Acres of land acquired by the College Development Committee at Padinhattumuri, in Koottilangadi Grama Panchayath.The Centre is 1.5 km away from Puliyengal in the Tirur-Vazhikkadavu State Highway and 5km away from Koottilangadi junction in the Kozhikkod- Palakkad National Highway. The NCTE has recognised this centre on 13.07.2004 for conducting B.Ed course.The new three storied building is situated in three acres of land and is constructed by the University of Calicut.
This institution offers B.Ed course in five optional subjects- Arabic, Commerce, English, Mathematics and Social science
