About us
Calicut University Teacher Education Centre Vatakara , established in 1999 by University of Calicut at Vatakara to meet the growing demands of qualified professional Teachers in Malabar area. Vatakara Municipality hosted the institution by providing 3124 Sq.Metre of land in free of Cost at Palolippalam, 2.8 kilometer away from Vatakara town. University of Calicut constructed a three storied building to B.Ed college with the buildup area 1826.88 Sq.Metre. Since from its establishment our institution provides quality pre-service education to aspirant teachers.
This institution is one of the eleven Teacher Education Centres directly run by the University of Calicut under Directorate University Study Centres. Courses offered by the Institution are in tune with the norms and regulation of National Council for Teacher Education.
Objectives:
To become a centre of excellence in the field of teacher education by providing rich and varied experience to prospective teachers to enable and confirm them with secular ,democratic and scientific values and social commitments.
Mission:
Offer Cognitive, Affective, Psychomotor and Social revolution in their domains of behaviour to face and adapt with the Challenges in the field of teaching profession and to make a unique individual in this biosphere.
Vision
To become a centre of excellence in the field of teacher education by providing rich and unique experience in order to develop world class teachers who can guide the generation for transforming the world to be a better place to live in, where the society live in peace and harmony with Nature.
