ABOUT US
Calicut University Teacher Education Centre, Valapad was actualised on 29th may 2002 at G.V.H.S.S. Valapad. Then the centre was shifted to its own building on 23rd february 2011 in the western part of Valapad, a coastal area of Thrissur district.
The centre is directly run by the University of Calicut and offers graduation in education in five different optional subjects such as English, Malayalam, Physical Science, Sanskrit and Social Science. The institute follows and adhers to the norms and standards of National Council for Teacher Education.
Vision
Shall be a centre of excellence in teacher education sector by disseminating appropriate human, social and democratic values and ideologies among teacher aspirants for creating humanistic and accountable teachers of tomorrow.
Mission
Provide teacher aspirants a platform for value added, progressive, emanicipatory and humanistic perspectives of educational mileus and engage them to experience in realistic, constructive and versatile nature of Indian society.
